A “Class of 1966” inductee, Zellio ?Topper? Toppazzini is considered the greatest Reds player of all time.
Named the Reds? ?Player of the Century?, he was the team?s all-time leader in points (721), goals (277), assists (444), games (683) and playoff points (44).
Topper is one of three players to spend 12 seasons with Providence, skating from 195 1to 1959 and 1960 to 1964.
Topper led the AHL in scoring in 1955. He ranks 12th all-time in assists (476), 13th in points (786) and 16th in goals (310) in AHL history.
Immediately after retirement, he coached the Providence College hockey team for four seasons.
In 2012, he was enshrined in the American Hockey League Hall of Fame.
He was enshrined in the charter class of the RI hockey Hall of Fame in 2018
