Heritage Society's 7th “Munch & Crunch” Set at PC for Feb. 6

Providence, RI (1/21/2010): The R. I. Reds Heritage Society’s 7th Annual “Munch & Crunch” will be held with a different twist this year at Providence College when the Friars host the University of Vermont at Schneider Arena at 7 p.m., on Saturday, February 6.

The historical society has announced a brand “new look” and a greatly reduced price of only $20 for fans attending the popular event that includes pre-game dinner, a Hockey East battle, and free paring at Schneider Arena.

In cooperation with PC the event will start at 5 p.m. with a change of venue for the pre-game dinner to Raymond Hall on campus. Later, at 7 p.m., fans will move to Schneider Arena to watch a battle between the PC Friars and the Vermont Catamounts – both highly regarded Hockey East teams.

Guest speaker at dinner will be Jeremy Kapstein, who for the last nine years has been Senior Advisor for the Boston Red Sox. Previously he served as CEO for the San Diego Padres. For local sports fans he can be remembered as statistical analyst for the late Chris Clark’s PC basketball broadcasts from 1958-1968
